Dhanteras is known as the festival of the goddesses of Ayurveda, but in a few years,   it has become one of the biggest festivals in the country. It is believed that Mother Lakshmi came home to buy gold on this day. Mother Dhanwantari is worshiped across the country on this day.

She is known as the goddess of healing Ayurveda and complex diseases. But today, Dhanteras said people consider it a holy day to buy and sell gold jewelry. This day comes before Diwali. Gold coins or silver coins are usually bought on this day.

But in Odisha, especially in cities like Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Berhampur, Sambalpur, and Rourkela, people are flocking to gold shops these days and there are examples of more than a quintal of gold jewelry being sold. Declares.

People believe that when you buy things on this day, the goddess of fortune enters the house and that's why on Dhanteras Day, she buys silver and gold coins with the statue of Mother Lakshmi.
